Kevin N4KWR will be activating Hillsborough River State Park (HIL) this weekend, activity on 20m and 40m SSB. Keep an eye on the clusters for freqs.
Ray, W8RD will be QRV activating Myakka River State Park (MYK) on Sunday, August 14th. From Ray: “I’ll be on 7.285 after a net — approx 9:30am EDT (1330z). Then again on 14.340 after a net — approx 3:30pm EDT (1830z)…”
If you hear them, spot on the cluster and help these guys drum up some FLSPOTA pileups!
We now have a printable flyer available with the nutshell version of what FLSPOTA is all about. Feel free to download, print, and distribute around at hamfests, club meetings etc., to help raise more awareness and encourage participation in the event!
The flyer is available at http://flspota.org/files/flspota-flyer.pdf
You can now download a logsheet for Worked All Parks, complete with all current park entities from http://flspota.org/files/flspota-parklist-worked-all.pdf
It’s been brought to my attention that it wasn’t very clear in the contest rules what did and did not count as a “non-duplicate QSO”, so I have updated the rules with the following:
Stations may be worked once per band. In the case of Florida State Park stations, if an operator moves to a different park during the contest period, additional contacts made with that station on the same band will count for an additional point/multiplier.
This change should now be reflected on the rules page.
